Yes, the long-awaited Higgs-Boson particle may have possibly been found. The particle also dubbed as the “God Particle” is said to solve many of the mysteries involved in the creation of UNIVERSE…sorry had to CAPS LOCK that in a “voice of God” tone [no pun intended]. Meanwhile America celebrates the day of its emancipation from the grip of the English Monarchy. Lets look at people’s reactions throughout today’s twitter-sphere announcements.

First some info on the Higgs-Boson particle. While a lot of you may not know, scientists in Geneva have tirelessly been on a mission to find the sub-atomic particle also known as the “God Particle. To much of their amazement, it seems that their work has finally yielded some long-awaited results. If you’re too tired to go through all that scientific rambling, do not worry,  well say it in layman’s terms. Basically the Higgs-Boson particle is also described as the building block of the universe. This sub-atomic particle is responsible for matter coagulation alongside its buddy, gravity.

The Higgs Boson, which until now has been a theoretical particle, is seen as the key to understanding why matter has mass, which combines with gravity to give an object weight. – Rolf Heuer, director of the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN)

Moving on, it seems Beiruti’s have joined in the 4rth of July’s call for celebration, albeit the reverse would not receive the same amount of attention (sadly). The 4rth of July also known as Independence Day in the US, commemorates the day when the US adopted  the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues and political speeches.

This is what the Declaration of Independence stipulates (again in simple terms):

That all men are created equal

That all men have some rights given to them by God

That among these rights are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness

Now the reason the founders of the US wrote this declaration together was due to the following:(we’ll only mention a few)

England’s King wouldn’t allow colonists to pass laws needed for “everybody’s good,” and even when they were passed He wouldnt sign them to go into affect.

The King also coerced men to give up their right to make laws and imposed Taxes without the people’s Consent.

He has plundered “our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.”

After reading that list, we think America is in need of an independence overhaul. Since the issuance of the aforementioned Declaration alongside the Bill of Rights, it seems the US has now turned against the very restrictions it fought against.

Here are some examples:

First amendment (in the Bill of Rights) is “freedom of speech” – when corporations claimed it in 1978 that meant that corporations could use their “free speech rights” to contribute almost unlimited amounts of money to politicians, political parties, and advertising to support politicians they favor. That kicked off an era of the worst political corruption in the history of democracies around the world.

>>> He has taken away our Charters, abolished our most valuable Laws and altered fundamentally the Forms of our Governments

Fourth Amendment: “Right of Privacy” – when corporations claimed that right, they succeeded in banning the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) from performing surprise inspections, kept secret information about their political activities and even hid evidence of toxic or dangerous products and outright crimes. (The Fourth Amendment doesn’t seem to refer to corporations when it says “the right of the PEOPLE to be secure in their PERSONS, houses, papers, and effects, against UNREASONABLE search and seizure shall not be violated.)

>>> He has plundered “our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.”

Fourteenth Amendment: Equal Protection Clause: Corporations claimed the 14th amendment – originally passed after the american civil war to free the slaves – and argued that when communities tried to keep out predatory corporations, it was a form of illegal discrimination the same as if a restaurant chose to serve the people with one color of skin but refused to serve people with a different color skin. (the fourteenth amendment is similarly clearly written to apply only to humans.)

>>> He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands .

So America, as you celebrate your “Independence” the world celebrates the discovery of the Higgs. While the Higgs particle is considered as a myth by the religious, so is your independence by many protesters of the OWS movement who received little to no media attention.Their call to freedom was exactly the same of that of the writers of both the Declaration and the Bill.

At the end of the day, it’s not up to us to judge, we’ll leave it up to God, or Higgs. Cool name don’t you think?
